Moving cattle, bison and buffalo
Certain requirements must be met before cattle, bison and buffalo can be moved:
- within Queensland
- into Queensland from other states and territories.
If you are receiving relocated cattle, bison or buffalo, you must record the movement within 48 hours on the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS). These requirements help protect our industries from pests and diseases.
