Pest animal and weed management during drought
As part of the Queensland Feral Pest Initiative, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) has allocated $4 million to support wild dog projects in drought-affected areas.
Queensland will also receive up to $10 million from the Australian Government for pest animal and weed projects.
Most of this funding will support regionally agreed cluster fencing and management actions that add to the work producers are already doing to build exclusion fencing and manage pest animals.
Some of the funding will also be made available to support other pest animal and weed management in drought-affected areas.
See the list of Queensland projects funded under this program.
