Use the Qld eFisher app
Only commercial fisher licence holders in control of a fishing operation can use the app.
You can choose to use Qld eFisher OR continue to use AIVR and paper logbooks – you can’t use both.

Operating in remote locations
You can use the app when you are in a remote location or have limited mobile signal reception.
To do this, you will need to ensure you start and end your commercial fishing trips in areas with data connectivity.
Privacy
The app requires your personal information to function; however, use of the app and its features is voluntary and you can enable or disable some of the functions.
If activated, the app will need to access:
- your GPS location, where GPS is used for vessel tracking manual reporting (optional)
- your email address to email a catch disposal record to recipients of fish to first point of disposal (e.g. wholesale buyers, fish not sold/stored, consignment).
Read the privacy statement for details on how the app accesses your personal information.
If your device or the app stops working
If the app or your device malfunctions:
- record your report details in another format (e.g., hard copy or electronically), and
- report via the AIVR system (using your commercial fisher licence number and PIN).
