Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant program

August 2024: Round 2 is open for applications.
It will remain open until 30 June 2025 or until all funding is allocated. Allow up to 12 weeks for assessment of your application to be completed.
The Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant (MEEG) program provides grants of up to $50,000 for Queensland-based manufacturers to improve energy efficiency measures and technology, reduce energy usage, costs and emissions.
Lighting upgrades may be eligible for up to 100% of project costs. Applications for other eligible projects can seek funding of 75% of the project costs.
The $7.1 million program is part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan and also complements our Advanced Manufacturing 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan.
How to apply
Use the application guide (PDF, 674KB) to check the eligibility criteria. Make sure you understand the assessment criteria (section 2.10). The guide includes all details and gives examples.
Complete and submit the online application form.
It can take up to 12 weeks for your application to be assessed.
If successful, you must execute a grant agreement with us. This agreement will outline the terms and conditions of the proposed grant including milestone deliverables, grant funding, reporting and outcomes to be achieved by you. Round 1
Round 1 of the MEEG program opened for applications on 23 October 2023 and closed on 30 June 2024.
Applications received before the closing date are being assessed. Applicants should allow up to 12 weeks from submission for assessment of their application.
