Offer to submit drill core samples
The Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ) holds a large collection of cores and cuttings from Queensland's known mineral deposits and coal and petroleum basin strata.
We collect core, cuttings and other samples from exploration companies as part of their legislative requirements.
Notification of core and cuttings samples
Before new drill hole samples are accepted, they are assessed and compared to existing samples to determine if they offer a new, or more representative stratigraphic section for the region.
You'll need to provide a description of the sample as part of the online offer form.
We will assess your samples and email you a list of samples you should submit.
