GSQ Lodgement Portal
The GSQ Lodgement Portal lets you submit statutory reports and notices to enable you to meet resource authority reporting obligations. The portal provides a streamlined method to lodge reports and data, in most cases using the new data submission templates. The portal replaces QDEX Reports and is managed by the Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ).
Register to use the portal
To use the GSQ Lodgement Portal, you must have a Queensland Government (QGov) My Account.
This account provides access to a range of government online services using a single log in.
If you were previously registered with QDEX Reports you will need to use an existing QGov account or set one up through the QGov website.
Supported platforms
For best performance use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Internet Explorer is not supported by the GSQ Lodgement Portal.

Upcoming changes to the submission process for required reports
We're currently developing a new web-based submission process for submitting some required reports through the GSQ Lodgement Portal.
From late 2024, we'll start to roll out the new process with 6 petroleum report types:
- Well or bore abandonment report
- Well or bore completion report
- Hydraulic fracturing activity report
- Well production testing report
- Seismic survey report – final
- Petroleum report – relinquishment (ATP/PL)
We'll move to the new submission process for mineral and coal reporting later in 2025. We'll provide updates as we progress the roll out.
Reporting requirements and templates
Reporting practice directions and data submission templates are available alongside report confidentiality period changes. See our October 2020 reporting changes for resource authorities for more information.
