What's happening?
- 8 November 2024: The Water Use Report 2022–23 is published.
- August 2023: The moratorium notice for works to take contaminated agricultural runoff was withdrawn. Read the withdrawal notice (PDF, 130KB). New works to capture contaminated agricultural runoff in the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin will be required to operate under store and release arrangements.
Previous milestones
- 19 January 2023: The Water Use Report: Warrego, Paroo, Bulloo and Nebine 2021–22 was published as part of our commitment to increased transparency of water data.
- 12 December 2022: The Warrego, Paroo and Nebine long-term watering plan was published. It identifies priority environmental assets, functions, objectives and targets.
- 10 September 2021: Provisions from the Warrego, Paroo, Bulloo and Nebine Resources Operations Plan have been recast into contemporary documents under provisions of the Water Act 2000. A water management protocol (PDF, 3.3MB), one resources operations licence (PDF, 175KB) and operations manual (PDF, 396KB) have now been published.
- 12 February 2021: The latest Minister's report (PDF, 2.6MB) and summary of environmental monitoring (PDF, 2.5MB) are available. This provides a performance assessment of the Warrego, Paroo, Bulloo and Nebine water plan.
- June 2017: The Warrego, Paroo and Nebine water resource plan was accredited by the Australian Government.
