QLeave – Long service leave in the building, construction, cleaning and community services industries in Queensland

Portable long service leave is available to employees in the building and construction, contract cleaning and the community services industries. This enables employees to work for multiple employers and gain their long service leave benefit from the Portable Long Service Leave Scheme.

However, if an employee in these industries works for the same employer continuously for 10 years the employer has an obligation to pay any long service leave entitlement and should contact QLeave regarding reimbursement.
